About

Given that “art” is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose all of us are artists at something.  What I describe as “natural art” is something that has, for me, developed over a period of 50 years or so.

When I retired from “regular work” in 2011, I knew that I had to explore art relative to the exotic forms that comprise the earth we reside on, and beyond, to the galaxy and universe stimulating our imagination.  Hence, coloring, transposing, and blending actual elevations or facets of the earth’s surface and distances to structures beyond, is what nearly all of Big Larry’s Natural Art is based on.  Perhaps you too will see the beauty and mystery in this form and peruse the art herein.

The namesake for this activity is a cat called Big Larry.  Larry is a Norwegian Forest Cat rescued from the streets of Portland, Oregon with his friend “Ace.”  Ace and Larry now call a house in Scappoose, Oregon their home and claim to provide inspiration to their household staff.
